Thank you NetGalley and Ballantine for allowing me to receive an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Bones' past has finally caught up with her when her brother Wolf and his crew the Fangs capture her to bring her back to their home to stand trial for a murder she did not commit. As her brother struggles to reconcile who she used to be with who she has become in their 12 year separation, she must wade through her trauma and grief to let her crew in as well as her brother. She has also had a bounty placed on her by the gods themselves. Her powers evolve in new unexpected ways, leaving everyone scrambling to figure out how they will fit in this new world.

To put it plainly, this book hurts. Bones grief is so fucking raw. I think I cried for at least 80% of this book. But while Bones struggles with that grief, she finds that she is not as alone as she once thought. That she has a crew who loves her and has her back, always. Found family really is a solid theme in both the first book and its sequel. And again Bones is stubborn as hell and does not give up. She will always fight to do what is right even if it means she gets hurt as a consequence. 10/10 cannot wait for the next book. This has absolutely been one of my top 10 reads of the year!

Bones has the power to heal. After escaping imprisonment from the ruthless raiders who held her for 12 years, news of her powers spread and she quickly is captured yet again. She is taken to the stronghold known as the Vault.

The group who captured her are not what she was expecting. She grows close to a kind man named Trey who manages to break through her defenses. She becomes the Vaults healer and finds her place within its walls. But the Vault has its dark side and a mounting rebellion forces her to face her past and decide what is worth fighting for.

This book does not hold your hand. It is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland where people are either just trying to survive or fighting for power over everyone else. Bones endures many traumatic events, but somehow still manages to keep going. To survive. But Trey tries to show her that you need to do more than just survive to live. This book was beautiful and heartbreaking. I am so excited to read the sequel!

After the evil Guy Shadowfade, who is Violet Thistlewaite's boss and adoptive father dies, she only wants a fresh start. To be good. She puts down roots in the quiet town of Dragon's Rest as a florist. While the rest of the town is charmed by her beautiful flowers and sunshine attitude, she struggles to win over the grumpy town apothecary/alchemist and her landlord. When a blight starts taking over the town, they all must come together to figure out the cause before it is too late.

This book was very cozy. The FMC and the MMC had a very natural progression that did not feel forced. I looooved their banter and their puns! I would really like to see more from this author!

Thank you A.R Schilling for allowing me to receive an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book is filled with a dark whimsy and an optimistic sunshine princess. Even if she is half dead and fully cursed. Sunday is cursed to save her kingdom. She has spent her whole life being forced to try and break it, but only one person can truly help her.

The world is dark, lush, and whimsical. As someone who has always been obsessed with Corpse Bride, it truly does give that vibe which is amazing. And honestly I think we could all stand to be a little more like Wednesday. She is so optimistic and tries to have a good outlook even in the most dire of situations. There is a lot of lore that we have yet to explore and I cannot wait for the second book!
