Okay I completely understand Mosscap's position that something breaking means dying, and this was such a serious solemn mood for that discussion, but Dex is just such incredible comic relief with:
"We could glue this, probably. If I sprained my ankle, I wouldn't lie down on the road and be like 'Guess I'll die here.'"
Just had me teeheeing. It's not often I find a book so genuinely funny and it feels incredibly well balanced to me, I'd get fatigued if it was all philosophy.
Also: anyone else trying and obviously failing to understand fake-world robotics? I want to know how this tiny plastic hook that connected to nothing controlled Mosscap's sense of balance! It didn't even hook to anything! It was rigid?

Same! I was like….are we sure it’s not just a tag or something??
