There were a few times i considered DNFāing but I stuck with it just from pure nosiness. Iām glad the pacing was fast and there was enough happening to keep going. Lequay is really that guy, a gentleman gangsta! He was the perfect mix of everything and when he makes a decision about what he wants or who he doesnāt want around anymore (cah they were dropping like flies) he doesnāt mess about. Iām so relived and happy for Scotland because everything before Lequay was horrible. Art wasnāt shit and for sure her parents werenāt shit either. I honestly wanted her dad to get his ass whooped so bad. Everyone In her life was awful and she deserves everything. Also Teyaira??! Iāve never been so irritated with such a delusional dumb ass. I hate the possibility of her and Shakur. There was a few things that were repetitive and the writing is very much telling rather than showing but overall it was entertaining and Iām here for the HEA.

I usually really enjoy Love Belvinās work but this was very meh for me. The storyline moved quick but in an almost disjointed way. None of it felt as engaging as her other books either. It felt like it was telling rather than showing. I made it to about 42% and still wasnāt sure who these characters were. Some inconsistencies too, because one minute Jade is this really timid person the next sheās super sexually aggressive storming into his room out of nowhere? We didnāt really a get a feel for Trentās headspace either. They both seemed confused and we got surface levels round ups. I just got bored with it all so had to put it aside.
