Whether you love to hate or hate to love 'em, these literary bad girls are anything but well-behaved. *Disclaimer: we do not literally support the illegal and oft cruel behavior of these protagonists (usually); we support the authors bold enough to write them (always).

Fictional books that feel like a warm hug, featuring magic and whimsy and perfectly happy endings. These are lower on stakes and higher on good vibes!

I want to call this an easy read, but I don't want it to sound like a bad thing.
The plot was easy to grasp, but still intriguing and making me want to keep reading. The characters were not very complex or unpredictable, but still likable and believable. The world building was interesting, especially how the magic worked and was used in everyday events.
As usual, kingfisher's writing is effortlessly easy to follow, imaginative and funny, without compromising on the excitement and seriousness of the plot. I liked this book!
