The world-building, magic system, questions, theories, and family-line storyline are all so well done. It’s intense in the best way, and then you throw in the incredible MMC, Sky, and it’s basically perfect.
If you enjoyed TOG, I’m 99.9% sure you’ll love these books. And if you didn’t enjoy TOG, read them anyway, because I need more people to scream over this entire story with. My poor pup can only handle so much of my recap-venting sessions.

Okay. This is Avatar: The Last Airbender meets Doctor Strange-type magic. Then the characters remind me of Throne of Glass—they’re not only incredibly smart but also sarcastic and witty.
The bad guys? Shudder. They’re spooky. Also, I’ll never get over picturing the Stranger Things-type creature.
Yearn. Yearn?! This book defines it. Ugh, so, so good. I saw a review for this book that said the characters were immature, and I could agree—but only a smidge. They have an immaturity that’s there, but in their world, they are young. I mean, they live forever, so their twenties are basically babyhood. With that, the immaturity, for me, wasn’t reckless, stupid, or unbelievably naïve. They just had a lot more sarcastic and quick-tempered moments.
Honestly, I was sold on the book from the first chapter. It snagged my attention, and I couldn’t shake it. It ended, and I was looking for missing pages! It was so well done. Unless you hated the first book, you’re left with an ending where you can’t even begin to imagine how it could end. It’s like someone ripped pages out of the book.
It’s weird, but good weird, with heavy world-building. The romance is romancing and doesn’t overpower the characters, their goals, or who they are throughout the story.

This was a perfect happy-ending story.
I was completely hooked from the start. World-building was new and fantastic. The creatures were something like a zombie mixed with the Nazgûls from the LOTR movies. . I felt so connected to the characters not sure if it was her writing style or if this book just hit me. But I couldn't detach myself. It was so good.
I can't say this enough the way the sarcastic flirty humor dialog between the MMC & FMC was everything you could want. It just flowed so realistically that I felt I was there physically listening to them.
The SLOW BURN yearning 10/10 it was so good. It was there and it made you feel it.
I absolutely loved this! Like loved so much willing to purchase and put on my shelf to read again loved.
