An introduction to Non-Fiction, these books are part of the cultural zeitgeist or the 'canon' that many would recognize. Look for more niche titles in later Starter Pack volumes.

I watched a reel recently where a few librarians were shown book covers with their titles & authors removed, and had to guess which books they were. It was a lot of fun! It also got me thinking about which book covers are iconic/recognizable just from the image alone... some that stood out to me are:
Classics (maybe more memorable since they've been around for so long): The Great Gatsby Catcher in the Rye The Handmaid's Tale
More modern books: Yellowface (for sure instantly recognizable) The Memory Police (maybe just iconic to me haha) The Goldfinch
Are there any covers you find iconic (either very recognizable in your opinion, or just iconic to you personally ✨)? I do recognize that this might differ by country!

I think my brain bleeped out the name Thomas from the blurb because it’s my brother’s name 😣🫥 Is that a petty reason to DNF? The story sounds so good.

This was well… as expected of a freida book! There’s suspense from the beginning and although it is predictable you get that nice sprinkle of a twist at the end (which I guess is a recurring thing with freida). It’s was a bit too unrealistic to me towards the end but still entertaining and great for a quick read!! It’s not easy to recommend though since it deals with disturbing themes.

I remember starting this when I was a teen but I never finished and I’m a bit curious about it, im worried to find it too childish though🥹, should I still try it? (I used to be a big lover of Harry Potter and everything that had to do with teenagers getting into trouble with magic)
