Overall, it's bad and lazy writing. Morgane, who is french (I was born in France and I live in Canada, Quebec, unfortunately for me, because it was difficult to read then), apparently doesn't know anything about Quebec and didn't try to find out. She wrote her characters in Montreal, clearly born there, but didn't do any research, so the writing is full of inconsistencies. She probably thought that only French people would read it, not knowing that people living in Montreal could buy her book. The characters act like teenagers, even though Orion is 26, and it becomes very repetitive and simplistic halfway through.
I won't read the other ones in the series.

I decided to read this book in English even though it's not my first language. I've read other books in English before (including pride and prejudice, so I figured I could read this one too) and even though I sometimes have to look up the meaning of some words I like to enjoy the book as it was originally written. I must confess this one has proven to be a little bit more difficult to follow for me. I think it's because it's been a while since I read in English, but also, deciphering what Joseph is meaning to say as someone who doesn't speak English as a first language is super difficult. I spend quite some time rereading his dialogues trying to figure out each word and I end up just with a general idea of what he meant to say. Does anyone have any tip on how to better understand him?? Thanks a million

I heard so many good things about the audiobook and tried to listen to it, but unfortunately my squirrel brain just couldn't handle it (to be fair, audiobooks never worked on me before). maybe I will try listening and reading with my eyeballs simultaneously. I really, really want experience the warmth and coziness like everyone else đ

In case you find it helpful, thereâs a translation of sorts for Josephâs speech. I can sometimes figure it out by saying it out loud, but sometimes I get stuck. https://www.wuthering-heights.co.uk/josephs-speech

Shoutout to all the ppl who had to live the crazy chaos of the 2000 holiday season; Christmas, Hanukkah, and Ramadan; all falling within days of one another. đ đ«
