i guess after the introduction of a talking spider plant i shouldn’t have been as surprised that Kiela’s skin is blue as i was LOL.. my first fantasy book in a while and it’s already making me suspend my disbelief more than usual—excited to keep diving into this world 🙂↕️

There's so much to do in today's world, and plenty of distractions that keep us away from our beloved books. How do you make peace with yourself and your environment long enough to read? Do you have a routine, or a ritual, to settle in with a book? I'm pretty bad at dedicating my free time to reading when there's so much else I could be doing, even if I really want to read.

Bryn understanding that Kiela doesn’t like talking about herself is so valid, I wish more people were this intuitive

Hey y’all! I do an alphabet challenge every year and this year I’m in need of help for an R book. The title has to start with the letter R (no “A” or “The” etc before it) but that’s the only rule! I’m pretty open to anything though I read a lot of fantasy, romance, historical fiction, women’s lit, and sub genres of all of those. So please share with me your favorite book that starts with the letter “R”! If it’s part of a series I don’t mind as long as it can be read as a standalone, I don’t mind going back to read the others if it’s good but I want to get this one done first ☺️
Thank you 😘

This is the first time I’ve seen the word „defenestration“ in the wild (not someone explaining it for fum), and I think it’s a good sign. Excited for this cozy read!
