When I was 16 I had to read Forrest Gump for school, and instead of giving us a copy of the book, we got a google document. I always thought I didn't read it through because I was in a deep depressive state, and didn't do much of anything.. but I remember enjoying the parts of the book i did read!
Now i am reading a Dnd rulebook and a campaign.. and tho the 2nd one is only 60 something pages, I am struggling. My eye is twitching, this feels like such a heavy task. Maybe this is also why I no longer read fanfic the way I did as a teen.
The size doesn't seem to be the issue, zooming in just makes everything worse.

My first ever book was "Emily Windsnap" by Liz Kessler. But for some odd reason, it wasn't really my favourite and made me hate books cause I got forced to read it. I found it when I was at school and they brought a bunch of books that we could order from a bookstore. I saw it and I got interested cause at that time I loved mermaids and anything connected to the ocean. (I still love the ocean). Later on, I realised I didn't like reading in my native language which is greek, and I stopped for a really long time. I then finished the book in the next summer, cause my phone kept dying and I had nothing else to do at my grandma's house. As I said this book wasn't the one for me and didn't get me into reading. The one that actually actually got me into reading, is "Percy Jackson the Sea of Monsters" by Rick Riordan. I LOVED the PJO series SO MUCH and after watching it I really wanted the books. So on a random birthday party, where it was happening at a mall, my friend had told me she saw Percy Jackson books in the book section of a store. So we went there and I got the book! Sadly though I had a really huge reading slump, while reading it. But I finished it eventually and realised I actually liked reading books! So I told my mom I wanted to go get 2 new books and got "Circe" by Madeline Miller and "Once Upon a broken heart" by Stephanie Garber. And boom my whole book love started. So moral of the story is theres always a book out there for everyone no matter what. Just don't give up and you'll eventually find your favourite type of genre in a book! āļø
