Extremely relevant book on immigration and escaping war in your home country - I recommend everyone read it. Definitely tugs at your heartstrings. I personally liked the flipping back from present to past to slowly reveal more details of the characters' pasts and how they connect.

Honestly one of my favorite books I've read this year (not that I've read too many yet)! Writing was engaging and full of drama and suspense which I loved.
