Classic Murakami. Hard to tell what belongs in which world and I am loving it.

absolutely criminal cliff hanger!! feel like we really got into richard's mindset in this chapter, it so interesting to hear the narrator's perspective on his young past self, and how his current perspective may differ, or how occurrences seem different to him now vs then,, also the tension was insaneeeee so good,, i was on the edge of my set lol

Okay. A little further and I still not quite sure where to put my expectations for this book. Bruno has a lot of thoughts still

I think this is a story that's going to benefit from a reread. Or at least not a 3 week read 𫣠I have a gut feeling there are little Easter eggs for me to find all over the place.

Interesting first chapter. I have no idea what this book is going to be about but I know Bruno loves neanderthals of nothing else.

When I was growing up I was always the weird kid who liked Arby's, happy to see it represented! Though, these days I prefer Culver's if I were to choose a fast food.

I haven't read Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul in like 20+ years, but I feel like this book is just a sort of modern day version. I could see how these stories might really hit if you were going through something tough, but for me right now, it just feels a little trite. I like the concept and there was something refreshing about the writing itself though!

I'm glad this book gives me a little bit of coffee nerdery in the discussion about brewing methods! Bummed this cafe only gets one type of bean though. a red flag, really!

I find myself unable to read more than one book at once. I sometimes can read a fiction and nonfiction but reading multiple books gets confusing in my mind. How do you read multiple books at a time? Why? Im curious on how you can keep track of everything at once! Do you have a journal? Do you ever get mixed up? Or do you listen to an audiobook for one book and physically read another? Please let me know!

Hi! âïž I'd like to start annotating books, but I don't know where or how to begin. Tips are welcome! I'm a sloppy reader, so dog-eares and broken spines are always a thing with me. That's why my annotations don't need to be perfect. But what do you write and when? And have you ever gone back to a book and read you annotations again? đ
