Such a sweet, cozy story. Nothing truly bad happens, has a happy ending (even if it was perhaps too perfectly done) and the characters feel very real. If you want to read a story set in the Paris countryside in the late 1940's, about a girl going on an adventure and falling in love, this is perfect.

The Pacific Journal of Adam Ewing (part 1)

I found the first chapter to be very boring, even considered giving up on the book, but pushed through. Didn't find the plot or the characters interesting except for the last few pages of the chapter. I don't understand the relevance of this plot, but I guess it will be revealed in part 2.

Although many of the author's life choices were poor and not well thought about enough, especially when a child is involved, I still enjoyed reading this book and appreciate its message.
