Post from the Midnight Sun (The Twilight Saga, #5) forum
I had absolutely ZERO idea this book existed… Are we recommending?? I rewatched the movies in 2020, and found them very cringe compared to my teen memories. Something about the balance of power of the characters just screams toxic in a way I did not see as a 14 year old… is it worth getting his POV?

‘I’m sorry,’ replied Asuka, smiling through her tears. ‘It’s just so . . . good. Whenever I eat delicious food, I always seem to start crying.’

When will I start knowing what is going on. There is so much detail. I won’t give up though because I waited months for this hold from the library 🤣

Finally starting this book! As a non-native English speaker, the language in this one can be quite challenging at times, but I am determined not to give up!

Really liked the writing, loved to hate the characters - which shows how on point and great the writing is!

Nice way to end this trilogy - I was happy to plunge back into Slimani’s beautiful, intimate and touching prose, and follow the evolution of the characters. It does however feels less « catchy » than the first two books, but adds a nice layer of personal history with a few jumps in time.

I'm on page 94 and I took a break from it and I'm hesitant to keep going... is it that good? I don't feel a spark just yet.

The most striking book I have read this year so far, probably in my Top 3. It’s poetic and profoundly human, all set in another world. A must read IMO!
