And by bookish I mean literally smells like books. I’m still on the hunt for one that captures the smell of sweet old pages. Have you tried any you like? Or perfume that puts you in a reading mood in general?
These are the ones I’ve tried that didn’t hit the (book)mark for me personally:

I am picking up on a strong metaphor for leaving toxic religious groups/cults/deconstructing. Anyone else?

I’m pretty intrigued about where this is headed and also…I don’t have a good feeling about this latest development. Hmm.

I do not remember the last time I read a book that didn’t have a boring chapter, let alone page here and there. I don’t think this book had a boring sentence in it.
The writing is beautiful and the messages and symbolism here are deep and important. And the fairy tale aspects are fun and feel fresh and new, but the lore and world building feels real.
This book has everything I love- dark academia, fantasy, horror, mystery, legend, friendship and love. I went through all of the emotions reading this book. And I loved every minute of it. I can’t wait for Joe Hill’s next masterpiece.
