Oh, to be a woman 600 B.C. and have access to Sapphic literature.
I love the portrayal of the fragments the author chose, as well as having the original (Ancient) Greek text next to the English translation. The notes are great for adding context to some of the poems and should be read simultaneously to them.

Sapphic September? Lovely theme. I wouldn't say it fits into the mentioned prompts, but I'll always advertise the source herself: If Not, Winter - The Complete Fragments of Sappho
The fragments of Sappho's poems were deeply touching and the author's footnotes were extremely helpful in understanding the cultural/historical context of some of her poems. I can only highly recommend them 🫶
Y’all, it’s almost that time again.
Last year someone in my book club introduced me to the Sapphic September readathon, which is run by @manicfemme and @evilqueen reads on Instagram.
While they haven’t released the board for this year yet, they teased the prompts in their stories.
