I’m not… loving the writing style so far. It kind of reads like a fanfic. Hopefully it grows on me.

  • What is writing style you don't like?

Hello guys! Since I have started a new book few days ago, and I've found out that is written in the style that I dislike the most .. I am curious. What is the writing style that doesn't match with you guys? For me is first person pov with present tense. I don't really like first person pov in general, I don't know why 😭 If the writing style does not match with my taste it's super difficult for me to enjoy 100% the book even if the story is top tier. Am I the only one? 😢 What are your opinion?

(Disclaimer: I am not attacking any author, nor anyone who enjoys 1st person pov, just simply sharing my humble opinion)

Wow, just… wow. Overall, the book was fine. It was a bit slow at some parts, and didn’t really come together until past the halfway mark. I thought the story beats were well placed, though. The amount of characters and interconnectedness of said characters kind of confused me, but I think more so my fault than the author’s. The twist was great, but I didn’t appreciate how each character so willingly revealed their motivations/methods. Overall, if not for the amazing twist, it would have been a subpar book.
