I tried to upload a book that the authors self-published as a e-book, that I am reading on my kindle. Since there's no way to not add an ISBN or similar number, as the book doesn't have an ISBN, it makes it impossible to add this book, or any other books like this. I tried to enter all zeroes, and this actually brought up totally unrelated books that are in the existing Pagebound data base. I have quite a few books that are similarly published, that it looks like I won't be able to add to my currently reading, or finished, or any other way of recording that I've read these books.

Is it possible to add a book to pagebound that doesn't have an ISBN? A lot of the books that I read are quite old (ISBN was only even introduced in the late 1960s!) and I can't figure out how to actually add these books, especially if they have been out of print for a bit.

Ibanez seems to struggle quite a bit with dialogue. It feels like she had things she wanted the characters to say and totally disregards whether or not they make sense as responses. Example: āHas forced us into alliances, blackmailed us into funding various pet projects,ā - Marco āWhereās the fun in that?ā -Saturnino Like what is Saturnino talking about? Nobody said anything about a āproperā way to do something, just what he has done. His response just doesnāt logically follow what was previously stated. It seems like Ibanez gets wrapped up in the descriptions between dialogue and forgets what is actually going on in the conversation.

SO. First things first, I read both the standard edition and the Fairyloot extended edition at the same time, comparing the differences as I went, which I fully acknowledge might have slightly damaged my overall reading experience. That being said, this book just wasnāt actually all that good. A lot of it feels pretty half-baked and the extended edition seems to basically just be an earlier draft of what ended up being the standard edition. Interesting in theory, but not excellent in execution. Would have been great if the author had sat on it a bit longer to decide what really mattered to the story and what sits kind of awkwardly.
