I have reread this book about once a year since it was published in 2012 - TOG never fails to take me back to my late teens as it offers up the very best of YA fiction. A strong female lead, mystery, inspirational character progression, magic and writing that makes you feel safe and lost in another world all at once - a forever favourite that stands the test of time effortlessly.

So far it’s feeling very samey to Project Hail Mary (I read PHM first and loved it so reading the Martian now) I hope it changes up a bit soon

So obviously I’ve seen the film but this is my first time reading it as I got the anniversary edition for Christmas. So far I find Bella way easier to enjoy as a narrator than I did in the film, and actually Edward more charming as well. Someone told me the books are a hard read as an adult, but aside from the obvious cringe (which I do believe to be part of twilights charm) I’m feeling quite hopeful.
