Hi, I'm Amber! I mostly read fantasy books, especially when they're sapphic! Furtermore, I adore dark academia, mysteries, horror, graphic novels and thrillers. I'm also interested in fairy tales.

I had high hopes for this one, but it dissapointed me. It took me a while to immerge myself in the story, because I kept getting confused with all the Spanish names. The second half read faster than the first, but there are still questions unanswered. How did Luzia ever get her magic?? I know it has something to do with her family, but we get to know so little about them and I wished there was some more information. Moreover, I really dislike M/F romance subplots, but this one wasn't that prevalent, and was douable. The smell of oranges was a really cute addition since it was probably connected to Luzia's magic.

I didn't realise this book was supposed to be funny but omg. It reminded me so much of Derry Girls. I wished I could listen to audiobooks so I could have experienced this with an Irish accent. Apart from the comedy, I really loved Meabh and Aideen's relationship. I wished we'd seen more of Aideen and her mam, since that felt kind off rushed towards the end.
