This just… what? I don’t even know what just happened and I definitely didn’t figure out what was going on, but the reveal honestly pissed me off a little in the end once I sorted all the details. This is better than Swept Away, but not in the same league as The Flatshare, and I feel a little jerked around. If you liked The No-Show this might be of interest, it has a similar feel, but I liked that one and still found this frustrating.

My brain hurts, but I think I just finally figured out what’s going on and who people are and just in time for the g*ddamn book to end.

Veryyyy excited for O’Leary new book!!! Already from the first few pages I feel like I’m going to love it.
But very sceptical though, as I really disliked her previous book, Swept Away. 🫤

I’ve been slowly reading this between the audiobook (Ray Porter is great, did a great job with The Martian too) and the ebook while finishing other things, but at this point I’m so hooked. The set up to bring us all the back story has been great, the science is really readable… I love multiple characters in all their flawed messiness. I think with some stories like this I would be feeling impatient, but it’s all unfolding at a good pace.

It’s been a while since I’ve loved a book this much. Read a mixture of the ebook and the audiobook (well narrated) and I didn’t want it to end.
