This is so beautiful, so mysterious, and so very introspective. Every step of the way you drift between being in 'tune' with the world, to questioning if it's better to have a friend or to be alone, and all the while there's this unfolding mystery of who Piranesi IS and WAS.
Everything about this book draws you into its world and its beauty. The house provides nurtures, and is so full of beauty, and you can lose yourself to it if you allow it to do so. There's something about the labyrinth that speaks to me, that mimics how I am also drawn to quiet places away from the human world.
The only thing, that would have made this book better, would have been better pacing towards it's end - but that's only because I wanted to spend more time in the story.

I found it quite hard to keep track of what was happening within the story. There were so many POVs and time jumps, that it simultaneously felt like the story was going too fast and too slow at the same time.
The vibes, however, were immaculate. I found myself really enjoying the setting of the story, and how the main characters found a way to continue the existence of the circus - and their love - despite the rules of the game they'd been forced into.
