Cozy mysteries to get out of a slump - recs?

I'm in a bit of a reading slump lately. I mean, I still read regularly, but not many things 'stick.' I think it's because my brain isn't at hundred percent at the moment – you know how stress's consequences sometimes only hit after the stress is over? Yeah, it's something like that, plus my body doesn't respond well to sudden, repeated changes in atmospheric pressure (thank you, genetics, for making springs extra fun.)

Point is, I need something light. And what tends to 'stick' at the moment are cozy mysteries of a very specific kind – only in my native language I've just run out of them (I think), and I don't know what's there & good in English, because normally, mysteries (cozy or otherwise) aren't my cup of tea.

    What I'm looking for:

    • preferably written by a woman

    • starring women, preferably multiple and being supportive towards each other

    • mystery is just a cherry on top of that

    • a (tiny) romantic subplot welcome but not required

    • with lots of humor

    • written in 3rd person, preferably omniscient, but as long as it's 3rd person, I'll bite

That's...very specific, I know. But. Does it exist?

    Recs?

    Story of My Life

    Story of My Life

    Lucy Score

Hazel is given a one-two punch when she's forced to move out of her Upper East Side apartment and is given a final warning from her publisher. If she doesn't turn in a book by her next deadline, they're cutting her loose. Hazel rashly decides to leave what's left of her city life behind and impulse buys a house in rural Pennsylvania sight unseen. How better to entertain the loyal readers she still has and rediscover her writing mojo than immersing herself in small-town life? Too bad this town looks to be on its last legs. At least she's finding swoon-worthy inspiration from her hot, grumpy contractor Cam and his animal-rescuing, community-involved family. It's all just research. What could go wrong? A note from the author: This series is my love letter to every reader who said they wanted to move to a fictional town . . .

I love the casual mention that Houdini went on a quest to the underworld 😅 I wonder who his godly parent was?

I love the pettiness of eating blue food because you argued about it once and were right. Should have served him blue tortilla chips with his damn bean dip. 😅
