A highly important and continually relevant book, “Freedom is a Constant Struggle” made me question every previous notion I had about activism, bias and struggle, connecting the dots of everything in society as we and it are all connected. Please read this book, especially if you are passionate about Palestine activism or learning more about activism itself. Very fascinating and informative read.

Hello fellow hoomans. 😊 I am wondering if you have any book recommendations around King Arthur? It could be inspired by or similar to the lore.
I have watched King Arthur: Legend of the Sword movie for like ten times now. I loved Charlie Hunnam in it. I kept wishing it was a book.
So if you know any, please recommend. 😊 Not so interested in one with heavy romance or spice. Thank you!
EDIT: Thank you everyone for your recommendations. You guys are amazing 🥰

What’s yalls opinion on fanfic generally? I often read it when I miss or want to reconnect with character from books/tv that i’ve already consumed but I have a tendency to not think of this as “real reading.” Should I? (how) do you differentiate more official reading (for lack of a better term) from fanfic.
is this just a societal judgement or do you think there’s something bigger that separates them?
any other fan fic thoughts your itching to share?

Is anyone on the hunt for someone with a crazy high percentage of overlap with you? I’m not talking about the new users who haven’t logged all of their books that it shows you in the overlap category. I’m super excited to find someone who has logged all of their reads and has like a 50% or higher overlap with me!
I think so far my highest number I’ve found is 36% which is obviously really good, but I think it would be so awesome to find like your simpatico reading friend that just absolutely meshes with your book taste that much.
Obviously it’s very unlikely to stumble upon them, but I think of it as the same idea as having doppelgängers. They’re out there, even if you don’t see them. So there should be others out there who match really well with your reading journey!
**ETA: I’m getting some downvotes and I feel like people think I only want to follow people with similar taste which is not the case at all 😭 I like genres all over the board in both non-fiction and fiction. Most of my favorite PB users read awesome obscure and unique books from every walk of life.
I have over 400 books in my finished shelf and I just think it would be fun to find someone with a ton of read books in common. They don’t even have to like the books it would just be cool to talk about them. All I meant was that I like that PB has the overlap as a tool to get to know other readers better and give you the potential to make crazy cool book besties.**

so.. i just got into a reading slump after reading 11 books for my first two months of the year. and i'm in a slump for a month (since i just moved cities). i'm thinking of what book or genre i want to get into. i'm leaning more on the fantasy side generally, but i've been wanting to dive onto different genres this year. any recommendations?
