Genuinely interested if when you add a book that’s in a series if you add the whole series or just the one book and see where it goes from there. I’ve just been seeing people with GIANT tbrs which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but want to know if there and just that many books or are there long series like maybe Throne of Glass.

To be very honest, I thought this was a fiction book when I added it to my holds on Libby 😅 (a story, like a Narnia, but with more directly mentioned christian themes etc.). But I decided to read it anyway, and I can't say I regret it at all.
I actually think one of the reasons I love Lewis' works is because my thoughts are very in line with the way he describes and thinks on (biblical) topics. I honestly appreciate that this book is an, let's say, overview of the basics of christianity, what it is and ultimately the fact that it all comes back to Jesus.
The one thing I would have liked, is when referencing the Bible directly, he could have added the verses (even if just a list at the end of a chapter) for ease of use - to find and compare / read for myself.
But overall a very good book, especially for people who are curious as to what christianity is about in the simplest sense.

That is, books that feature the same resonant themes of loneliness, mortality, curiosity, wonder, cosmic horror/awe, and meaning and change in life (the list could go on). Maybe even some of the same spacey, astronomy settings. I just adored the way the themes came together, and I know nothing else will quite capture that same feeling. I'm not sure if this is the right place, but if anyone has any recommendations, I am very interested!

I don’t know if something is wrong with me, but I’m still not vibing with Jacks as much as I think I’m supposed to be…🙈 I think I just need to realize that this is very much a slow burn

For example, I found out about Agatha Christie through an episode of Doctor Who. I thought the episode was interesting, and then googled her name and found out she was a real author. I do enjoy a good mystery, so she's been on my radar since. I recently bought one of her books - haven't read it yet, but looking forward to it!
