Yesterday was independent bookstore day , apparently not just in Canada, but the US as well .
If anyone got any books , which ones? If you didn't get books how did you celebrate?
I was by a family owned bookstore so I got a few books , one that was on my tbr because I love the author and the first book of the series

hi, guys! today i come to you with a request for a very specific sort of book rec: "pathetic wet blorbo going through the Horrors covered in blood and dirt, but the blorbo is a woman"
this comes from a discussion i've been having on my tumblr about how there's so little content/media about women being the chew toys experiencing horrors (and being a little hot about it). a lot of the times, in fandom and in canonical medias, this archetype falls to the men. i understand why - simply writing women as they are requires more work than writing men, but writing women going Through It requires even more work than just throwing a dude into a battlefield unprepared. it is a kind of difficulty that most creators don't want to contend with.
as a certified women lover, however, i like seeing a woman be covered in blood and be pathetic about it. so if you've got any book recs that fit this trope, send them my way. thank you in advance 💞
(an important rule: we can't have girlboss moments. no gaslight gatekeep girlboss, sorry)

There’s this book I discovered yesterday and it seemed pretty interesting. I had never heard of the author so I looked her up on socials and all of her marketing was AI. Like glaringly obvious AI. I’m talking AI had holding her book for her AI. The character art and graphics are also AI. It’s making me question whether I should read the book or not because it might be AI written or assisted.
My question for you all is: Would you read a book by an author who uses AI in their marketing?
