I know the plot of this book because I watched the movie first YEARS ago, but I forgot how MESSY these people are like omg My main issue is the pacing though, it kinda feels like we're going round in circles for ages before something actually happens🫠🫠

Honestly, my mind is foggy so I have no clue if I have asked this question yet 😂 This is one of my favourite questions I see, I love seeing all of the different/similar opinions for this one!
✨ What is your LEAST favourite book trope and why?
For me it definitely has to be memory loss tropes. Nope, cannot stomach them. Memory loss tropes have me stressing the whole time, I’m more stressed than the actual characters are 😩 I don’t think I have ever enjoyed a memory loss trope, I personally just do not see the appeal in them

So Rip van Wrinkle is a man who would rather "starve on an a penny than earn a pound", wich would be fine if he didn't have a family to take care of. We are then ment to hate his "nag of a wife" when she nags him to feed his family.
The time travel was really intresting and the 19th century "found fotage" was a fun way of telling the story, but man did Rip and his wife drag this down for me.

A young English heiress is betrayed by her brothers after their father dies and is sold into marrige. In order to escape she takes to the seas and discovers new companions. This is a swashbuckeling tale from a young females point of view and I enjoyed it greatly👍
