I am speechless. The book was unbelievably addicting and had me staying up till 3 am to finish it. It got me out of a month long reading slump caused by book 4. I was terrified to reach the end as it's been known to be a real tearjerker. I absolutely loved the book and wouldn't change anything. It's perfect. The beginning was a bit confusing tho cuz when haymitchs name wasnt called in the reaping i was like huhhh? How is he a victor if he isnt even in the games? But that got cleared up. Louella was sooo sweet and haymitchs display of rebellion with her body and Snow was really something. I actually snorted at that part. The recap of the games once haymitch won were extremely confusing as well. I hated all the deaths he had to witness. Then he had to see his house burn down with his family still inside. Then his love die in his arms. God i feel so bad for haymitch. When lenore dove died I was so devastated. Then i was hit by the happy birthday haymitch. And just when i thought it was over the epilogue appeared. It was nice to see a bit of katnisss father tho. And I was surprised to learn that haymitch was friends with him. We also get to know a lot more about her mom. I also love the connection between lucy gray, lenore dove, and the covey. I liked seeing a bit about effie trinket, mags, wiress, and betee too.

I usually don't write reviews but i wanted to for this one so I hope it's nice.

Definitely recommend it.

Side note. I just thought of this and needed to add it. Haymitch bursts open the water tank to try flooding the brain of the arena and that didnt work but if you put in all the tears of the ppl who read this book you could flood the entire state of panem! I could barely see the pages at one point.
