The tension in this book is off the charts. I had such a sense of dread as each step happened, worrying how Juliette was going to manage to counteract the allegations against her. She was such a sympathetic character, a woman taking care of sick family who missed a setup occuring around her. Even when she made mistakes, you were rooting for her to win. I only wish that a bit more time had been spent on the resolution of the story.

I've been seeing discourse online that listening to audio books doesn't count as reading I count audio books
What are you guys thoughts on that?

I don't know why I find this so fun and I'm too tired from a 5 hour and then a 15 hour flight to dig deeply. 4* to all of them that I binged on the plane.

I had a lot of fun with this one. Definitely got me into a "suspect everyone" mode and, even as I was yelling at the characters for making questionable choices, I was enjoying myself.

This book has really confronting material, so I feel like "enjoyment" is an odd word. But it was engrossing and the characters felt believable.
