I felt like this book was a little too wordy and slow for the majority of it, unfortunately. Lots of time was spent describing every little detail in the scene, in ways the reader didn't ~ need ~ in order to understand the story. Lots of random side story tangents/pivots that were hard to follow. The story/plot concept is good, but was just executed in a way that was distracting and sort of killed the umph.

This is a man book with a woman ending if that makes any sense

I’m intrigued by the story and yet I’m slightly annoyed with:
I see now why some people prefer third person narration- I usually don’t mind first person but when the character’s insecurities are showing up hard, it can be a bit rough to read.
