I just finished A Dead Djinn in Cairo (included in my edition of A Master of Djinn), so I guess I've reached 0% and I'm curious: do your editions also include this prequel or just the main book?

There's a lot of vocabulary I'm not used to and I had to look it up, but even so, I found it an enjoyable read. The universe it presents is really interesting. This story was at the beginning of my edition of Master of Djinn so I was a little disappointed to reach the end. I wanted to know more! I guess it's an introduction to lay the basics and we'll see more about this in the main novel.

Good idea, poor execution. I was really looking forward to this book, but came very close to DNF. It doesn't feel like a story, but rather an excuse to include all the Tumblr quotes the author has found with minimal plot. Half of the book consists of motivational quotes and inspirational speeches that make it feel very empty to me.
I guess it's just not my kind of book.

Healing fiction / Iyashi
Cozy books about cafes, libraries, bookstores, little shops and cats, often with some touches of magical realism.
Not restricting this list to only Korean or Japanese authors, although most of them are. Some books may not be translated into English

It seems like everyone has agreed to ruin her day in just a few hours. No wonder she feels that way.
