“Yes. Because this wasn’t their game; this game was all his. She had gone on playing it simply because Gerald wanted her to. And that was no longer good enough.”
Gruesome and includes uncomfortable content, but Stephen King is a great writer. This was my first of his books and I see the appeal.

Fun upbeat contemporary romance. Some intense moments of second-hand embarrassment, but has great character growth and several funny scenes.

“Not everybody wants to be somebody. Some people just want to be somebody else.”
This was my second book by Alice Feeney and features her distinct writing style. The prose feels rich and quotable, like when reality tv stars are good at talking in sound bites. This creates an interesting fogginess to the book, which I quite enjoy but could see not working for some readers.
In contrast to Sometimes I Lie, which was a solid read throughout for me, I Know Who You Are danced around when it came to my rating. It started strong, with the first half keeping me engaged, but as the book went along I struggled to maintain the same level of interest. And I did not like ending, which brought my rating down.
