Hi! I have been trying to figure out how to be/feel less isolated. Are you also in that position? I have found pagebound to be a really great place to feel connection so thought I'd put this out here and see what happens.

I'm looking to connect - probably off of PB but open to it being here or maybe this will just turn into a connecting thread, idk! Here's my situation, things I like to do/discuss, etc:

I'm an elder millennial, queer, non-binary person with leftist politics that center following Indigenous leadership (I am in the so-called US). I honestly really can't connect very well with people who do not share these politics. I have long covid for the past 3 years, and my kiddo has some kind of undiagnosed autoimmune condition that likely sprang from long covid, in addition to being AuDHD/PDA. All of this have led her to be unable to access school and we are unschooling her when we never thought we would. I have recently realized that I am also likely autistic.

I love to discuss books and would love to buddy read with people who share my tastes and especially if they are in any sort of similar position to me (queer romance, sci fi, some fantasy, literary fiction, historical fiction - I mostly like to read things by QTBIPOC authors but not exclusively).

I also love to cook/bake/ferment things and am a mildly persistent but not very accomplished gardener. I am a physical therapist who dislikes most of my profession and also is working very little right now due to all of the above things, but I do like to sometimes connect over health and pain science topics (must be not fatphobic). I am an organizer but currently really burnt out and not as active as I have been/would ideally be but also trying to have compassion for myself around that.

I'm honestly not sure exactly what I'm looking for, but lmk if any of this resonates with you and we can chat here or elsewhere!
