4.5 ⭐ THIS ONE HAD ME GASPING. I thought I was smart. I thought I figured it out. I was sitting there all smug like “oh yeah I know where this is going” and then BAM. Freida McFadden pulled the rug out from under me at 3:40 AM and I was sitting straight up in bed like 👁️👄👁️ The tension??? So good. The mystery??? Twisted in all the best ways. And that final reveal??? Chef’s kiss. This book had my brain spiraling and my jaw on the floor. Every time I thought I had it, something else would throw me off again. Short, fast-paced, and impossible to put down!! Never Lie is the kind of thriller that messes with your head and makes you question everything. Freida really said “no sleep for you” and honestly I respect it.

Wow, I did not see the ending coming. At first I wasn’t really a fan of the book but I can see how it is interesting with the different aspects it brings and how grief can be different for everyone. It touches some major issues that I was hoping would be explored more but I think it’s important to keep in mind that the main characters are children and have a sheltered life. Overall, I think it was a good book but it’s just not something I would read again or am really interested in.

Very cute horror story. A high school of monsters turn sour when a storm approaches causing their nightmare to turn into a real one! This was a very quick read and very enjoyable! A little gory to.

Spookier than I thought, quite slow, but the ending was nice
