I can't say the prose or character design are anything worth writing home about. But it did make me feel awkward about eating hot dogs for a day or two.

This book is short, muscular, and unforgiving. It does not dive deep into the philosophy of the meat, and it was written from the POV of a curt man near the end of his rope.

I picked this book up hoping for a cross between horror and lit fic, and it certainly wasn't that. But it was compelling, and frankly it hits like a train then disappears into the night.

I am only about 10 pages in and just realized there are no chapters! I know this is intentional and have read other books in a similar fashion. However, I am trying to determine if the protagonist is talking direct to us, or if we are reading their writing, perhaps a journal? book?
