New wave Dystopian Romance
Since I loved YA dystopian in the 2010s, I wanted to gather all the 2020s books coming out in this new trend of romantic dystopia (recommendations welcome!)

I picked this book up because I was so curious to see what the author had planned for the world of Conform… I didn’t find out until the author’s note that these will be dueling trilogies - so Beneath and Conform may eventually come together in their respective sequels but so far, aside from some possible hints sprinkled throughout, they have not. I wish I had known this beforehand, though I have to say hunting for hints was half the fun of reading.
I actually thought this was better than Conform - fewer plot holes, less predictable twists, just-as-good romance - and I had a good time overall. My two issues are both related to editing: 1) it did feel excessively long and repetitive in the inner dialogue of our main character, and a lot of boring passages could have easily been cut out. 2) In the ARC version that I read, there were a lot of spelling errors and awkward sentences that I hope will be corrected in the final version.

Originally I posted a tip/ trick for audible credits and “returning” them for a credit to be issued back. I didn’t realize at the time that this hurts authors and potentially narrators when a refund is processed.
Thank you to all who commented with truly helpful redirection on this!
It’s good to be mindful when returning which should be fair/reasonable not just for additional credits which I admittedly need to not do going forward.
Again thankful for all boundlings for redirecting me to better options than what I posted 🫶🏼

I’m semi-new to PB, it’s quickly become my favorite tracking app, alongside my wife, StoryGraph. I really like the data aspect to tracking however, and as I wasn’t here for the year end wrap up — should I go back through my exported library and edit editions to ensure they match? (In terms of ebook, audiobook, physical. Not ISBN specific, but reading method alone.)
