What in the actual is happening in this book!? “The people in your house, that’s not what they look like?” Umm… excuse me, sir? What?!

I feel like I already have this plot figured out, I’m hoping there’s a good plot twist though because I still have 174 pages to go

Okay, so we’re not easing into things here. First sentence, first chapter, first 50 pages, all huge “wtf is happening?!” Vibes lol

Yes, I’m only 9% in but in these first 36 pages, she’s left no room for slow paced nonsense. This book is going to be devastating! I can feel it!!

Okay, let’s start this off by saying this was not supposed to take days to read, but I was literally going through some shit and could literally not focus on anything. But, I’m trying! Now, to my review… I loved that my wheel gave this to me! I will admit, I started reading it on its own and almost immediately, I was sooooo bored. It was literally like reading War and Peace all over again 🫠 (definitely not something I want to do 😆). So a thought crossed my mind… why not try to listen to the audio while following along?? Thankfully, Libby has unlimited copies of Dracula in audio form and let me tell you, what a freaking difference it made for me! This story is phenomenal! It’s done in diary and letter form from multiple points of view. It’s easy to see how people back in the day could be so scared by this telling - it definitely had its moments of thrill, mystery and awestrucks. I honestly wish I read it sooner! Onto the next!!

Okay, so I’d been wanting to read this for quite sometime. I ordered it from BookOutlet last summer and the glorified TBR wheel finally gave it to me. It started off crazy then kinda petered out but then really picked up right through to the end. It was one of those books that you just needed to know who it was, why it happened and how it happened. I wouldn’t say it’s a psychological thriller, but it is definitely a thriller. I enjoyed it! Also, the day I started this book, RW announced the next instalment is releasing soon - The Woman in Cabin 11. So I’ll definitely be grabbing that from the library when it releases.
