This book has the same structure as The Family Upstairs. Iâm not complaining, because I loved that one, but I have a feeling sheâs going to do the same thing with the second narrator and make us wait until halfway through the book to reveal who the hell they actually are. Right now it kind of feels like she wants us to think itâs the father, maybe that he had an affair or even a whole second family. But my current bet? I think the narrator is the guy who pushed him onto the tracks. #theory

It genuinely cracks me up that half the trouble Linus gets into when he first arrives at the house couldâve been avoided if he had just read the damn paperwork.

Itâs stronger than me, I just canât read âElegioburgo.â I start off trying to say it properly and end up reading âEdinburghâ every single time.

This is my third time reading this book, and Iâm more convinced than ever: the part between the beginning and when he actually gets to the house is such a drag.
