Quickly climbing the ranks as one of my fav Lola Glass books! I absolutely loved Hazel (and Liz and their friendship!) and Merrik! I loved how it became its own thing and veered a little bit away from the regular set up — he gives no real alpha traits and that’s perfect for Hazel, Hazel has a living and healthy relationship with her parents which is unheard of in other Lola Glass books 😂, and she took him to the ground on meet one which I will forever love! Cute cute cute! Can’t wait to see more of them!

I am loving this series! I love the characters and the overarching plot, I love the second person aspects and everything about the way it’s written!

I’m not sure why this one took me months to get through. I think I should’ve taken a break after the second one so now I’m going to break from the series before reading the last one at some point!

    Still highly recommend!

This was so sweet! I really went into this book with zero expectation, but I love the roof top scenes and the back and forth! This hit the spot

Oh my, did everyone LIE to me about this book! Sweet? Where. Surprising wholesome? Literally how! More than just a handjob book? Nope, that’s exactly what it is!

This is not sweet, the romance is so surface level it’s astounding that the book even managed to be as long as it is. Our fmc is fascinated by the FIRST client she works on and develops an entire crush around someone she built up in her head. There is 0 foundation for this and should’ve stayed a fantasy. The couple has nothing in common, no chemistry, and no reason to be together.

I was absolutely bored out of my mind.

This is as advertised -- cozy, simple, fast fall hallmark vibes. When I started it, it was exactly what I needed, but by the time I was 75% through, I was so bored I just wanted it to end. Nothing remarkable about these characters or their love story (I guess that's part of the idea tho?) and nothing about this book will stick with me past probably me posting this review.

BUT if you are overloaded, overwhelmed, or burned out and need to bury your head in the sand for a bit, this could still be a decent pick for you!
