I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for this post, also sorry cause this is a weird one. I've made my peace but I really want to reread this book that my friend borrowed from me, but he's the final boss of ghosting and I'm at a loss 🙃
So he's the actual worst texter in the world, so much so, that if you don't see him according to a schedule you'll never see him again. That's also exactly what happened. I told him about something sad happening in my life, he said I could always come to him, and then he never responded again. It's been 8 months of awkward messages from me and 0 response from him, and I just realised I'd really like to reread 'this is how you lose the time war', with my brain conjuring the picture of my copy sitting on his shelf. I feel like, at this point, he's had the time to read it.
Should I start calling him to ask for my book back in the hopes he awakes from his slumber? Should I give up on my quest and simply go to the library? Or should I break into his appt in the middle of the night, get caught in my neon yellow ski mask and make a break for it, gaining nothing but experience for my future life of crime? Jokes aside, I honestly don't know what to do, any advice would be great!

Hey everybody.
One of my goals for 2026 is to work my way through my TBR which led me to sort through all the books and be confronted with the fact that I either need to read or get rid of all the random books I added like 10 years ago 🥶
So I’m curious, what’s some of the oldest books in your TBR and do you honestly believe you’ll ever read them?
Mine are The Alice Network by Kate Quinn, The Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker and Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark T. Sullivan.
The Silence of the Girls is part of the Greek Myth Retellings quest so it’s the only one I’m actually considering reading 😅 But I refuse to remove the rest of them from my TBR just in case 👀

I've hit the point where I have a 0% stress tolerance and am struggling with anything I pick up as a result. My comfort reads are Discworld and Murderbot, anyone have similar recs I could check out? I need something I can pick up at 3a while nursing.

Looking for some found family book recommendations?!? Don’t mind the general genre of said book nor if it also has some romance to it as long as the found family aspect is the main energy of the book 🥰

Again, wonderful representation of characters with a disability — magic isn’t used to “fix” them as a person, but to provide accessibility devices. 🥰
