  • Fall 2026 Readalong

I am beyond meow-xcited to announce an unofficial fall readalong for the Meow-moirs side quest! If you'd like to join in, please read and discuss Into the Wild, the first book in the beloved Warriors series, between September 1 and November 30, 2026. This readalong is completely optional and may even be a reread for you (it is for me), but it'll be so fun to paw through some cat fiction together.

📖 Book details Title: Into the Wild Current PB rating: 4.12 stars Pages: 288 Blurb: For generations, four Clans of wild cats have shared the forest according to the laws laid down by their warrior ancestors. But the ThunderClan cats are in grave danger, and the sinister ShadowClan grows stronger every day. Noble warriors are dying—and some deaths are more mysterious than others. In the midst of this turmoil appears an ordinary house cat named Rusty . . . who may turn out to be the bravest warrior of them all.

Claw-ver readers should note that there is violence and animal death within the context of territorial feral cat clowders warring with each other. This book is middle grade but quintessential cat POV fiction and part of moski's Through the Eyes of Animals quest! Two-for-one quest read!

Hope to read with you soon and don't fur-get to comment if you're in! 🐾

Moose are the kind of animals that I kind of can't comprehend how big they are, and I would definitely freak out a little if I ran into one on a hike

Which is your favourite? I have been on BookTok over a year now and really love it. Started my Bookstagram a few days ago and just not feeling the same. Which is your favourite and why?

  • Favorite Hate reads?

Who doesn't love hate reading a book? It let's you take your frustrations on the book. 😌 What I want to know is, what was your favorite hate read? Like you were so pissed of by the book that you liked hate reading it. 😄 I think my most recent was The Rose Bargain. I guessed the plot being like 20% into the book and had to hate read it just to finish it. I couldn't tolerate half of the characters too. But my favorite has to be Shadow and Bone. I was so pissed of by everything. That's also why I didn't read the rest of the books. 😂 It only works when I don't know I'm going to hate it. 🤷‍♀️

  • 60s expansion

Hi everyone, Due to a few factors i have decided to update this quest to also include books from the 1960s. While this quest will still mainly focus on Golden age crime, other crime novels are also important and should be included in this quest. This will not be an immediate add on but soon. If anyone has any suggestions for books it would be much appreciated, i have a few in mind already.

  • Books that you would NOT read for the first time again

What's one (or more) of your favourite books that you would not choose to read again for the first time? Books that you appreciated/understood more on your second, third or fiftieth reread. It could be because it was confusing, you didn't know the characters yet, too much to take in at once, maybe the later books in the series or the movie made you enjoy it more? Or a completely different reason. A few of mine that come to mind might be: We have always lived in the castle, the haunting of hill house, Good Omens and Gideon The Ninth 🤔 I loved them I just found the reread more enjoyable 😂

  • Books that have the vibe of the song Autumn Leaves by Nat King Cole

Now that we’re getting closer to Autumn (it’s Augtober in my mind anyways) I’m looking for some recs which have similar vibes to the song Autumn Leaves. So a very cosy and warm romance, maybe even a playful Autumnal whodunnit or a lighthearted found family adventure. I’m in the mood for gathering some cute and lighthearted reads for the next few months any suggestions would be appreciated!! 💌🍁

  • New username quibbles 😿

Ok maybe I’m just being silly - but what’s the best way to navigate a username change so PB friends don’t have stranger danger when they don’t know who you are? Should I just list my former name in my profile for awhile? I’ve made some truly awesome friends here & don’t want to confuse them all! 💕

I realized my old username was being used elsewhere by a popular Substack writer & sort of mommy blogger with a YT channel. Didn’t want any confusion there. So I changed to something more personal & book-related.

  • Bugs

Well i just screamed (loudly) because a centipede was hiding in my BEDROOM curtains and now he is loose somewhere in the house. I don't mind spiders so much but really... do you need that many legs? (I love having a cat who prefers to stare, rather than take action. Smh. Freeloader)

Now i'm scared about bugs in my apartment, leading me to ask this book related question... has anyone ever actually had/seen bookworms? Like the actual bugs (bugs?) that chew through books? I get a lot of vintage/antique/secondhand books, and the thought has crossed my mind but I don't actively check them for bugs. THANKFULLY i have never had an encounter, because i truly think i would screech and throw a precious book across the room
