Just a bit to predictable for me. It was very obvious who was involved and I called a lot of things really early. Of course the 'twist' was obvious too. It's really disappointing, as I liked her first book actually! 🥲
The characters were too cliché for me. And there were too many times where they acted woth no reason just to thrust the plot forward in a direction that just wouldn't work if they acted... reasonably? In character to what they were established as? Overall just nor for me.

Honestly I don't think Jena is innocent anymore. The calls and voicemails suddenly disappearing, when she was the only one that had access to Brooke's phone (aside from Brooke herself) is just a little toooo suspicious. I don't know how Brooke didn't catch that immediately, since she's supposed to be a smarty smart girl..
Also the neon mask thing? Corny. 😐 I would probably laugh in that guys face. Like okay Jason Voorhees' Temu cousin Vason Joorhees

I'm adding Beau to my Stalker-Suspect list. Because I've been thinking a little more and I think Dylan being the stalker is also super predictable. But maybe I'm just super big brained...😩😩 (my brain doesn't have a single wrinkle)
Also I'm sorry but Claire is also so cookie-cutter. She's just Mean girl/Queen Bee™... and I'm struggling soooo hardd with caring that she died 😭 Omg she pmo

I don't think that Brooke actually hurt Claire because I just think... that's too easy, isn't it?? The book points at it, Brooke's stalker does, even her actions do. So that can't be it, that would be SO boring.
I'm going to throw the theory put that Dylan is the stalker, just because I think that could be a good twist. And pretty creepy, if you think about it more, since he is interested in her romantically at least outwardly.
Maybe Brooke really did do it?? Maybe she went googoo gaga and killed Claire because she was in the way of her getting Dylan. Idk. That's still ridiculously predictable. But maybe she killed her on accident and just acts like she wasn't involved at all... But that feels a little boring too. The characters are very, VERY cookie-cutter. We have the academic overachiever with a mean girl streak™, and the stylish pretty friend to get the main character to where she needs to be in the plot™ and of course A GUY™ that is the academic overachiever with a mean girl streak™ with or without a mean streak as a man..
It's interesting enough for me to keep going, so far. I want to get to the spooky bits!!
