I love a story where the main character feels awkward/unlovable and is carrying an impossible dream. Maybe I relate.

Fresh, funny, often poignant YA mystery with disabled protagonists and a Non-Binary side character. The author used voice recognition to write it and there are a few typos here and there, but not enough to disrupt my thorough enjoyment of this book!

This is a book I've read at key moments in my life. I first found it as a teen and it rocked my world. Realizing that it is possible and even crucial to find meaning in the hardest circumstances is the thesis of this book, and the book was written by someone interned in a death camp Nazi Germany so it completely proves it's own point.

This book was so helpful for me in understanding my demi-sexual gray ace partner, as well as other asexual spectrum people in my life. I grew up in a very pro-sexual household and a culture designed for allosexuals like myself, and this read was super eye opening and helped me re-evaluate a lot of my ideas about what a relationship is/isn't. As a queer allosexual I also remember as a teen wondering what sexual acts I needed to do to be a "Normal" queer and then feeling uncomfortable if I didn't want to do said acts. So sad. This book empowers readers to create the lives and relationships that help them thrive and also had good advice about avoiding toxic dynamics in all forms of relationships. This book should be in every highschool library!
