I really don't think I want to read this series, not only is SJM super problematic, but the series being apart of the category of poorly written booktok books, it really doesn't make me pick up any of the books. I want to at least give then up to a thrift store, but should I? I have this lingering feeling to just give it a try, I mean I did spend money on the whole series so it would seem justified. But I need advice still! Should I give it to a person who would enjoy this more or keep it for myself? (Please don't say that cancel culture shouldn't be involved in books. It was my mistake not to research more into how bad SJM is when I bought this series 3 years ago. SJM should be held accountable for what she did and how wrongly she writes her stories. I want to uphold my morals and not give into the propaganda that she's the "queen of smutty fantasy.")
Update!! (I hope everyone who commented and gave advice sees this. ๐ฟ) I have came to a point where I will just read the first book and go from there. If I didn't enjoy the first one, I'm giving all the books to a thift store, and if I enjoy it, I'll keep the series and hope it gets better from there. I appreciate everyone who took the time to reply, and I'm glad I got actual responses and not a whole bunch of SJM glazers ๐ญ. Thank you everyone, happy reading!!
