Hi guys! I joined pagebound a couple of days ago and I really love it! Iâm the only one of my friends who has an ereader so I canât really talk to anyone about this; therefore this post. I buy almost all of my books physical and as an ebook, but sometimes I canât shake the feeling of feeling guilty while reading a book completely on my e-reader if I have the physical copy. I donât really know where the feeling comes from but sometimes I think âAh what a shame I didnât touch the physical copyâŚâ I do think that collecting books and reading them are two different hobbies, but I was wondering if anyone else ever had that feeling, or what your e-reader/physical copy ratio is? :)

I really want to make new friends on here so I decided each Wednesday I might do a weekly question.
This Wednesday is: Whatâs your comfort reread? đđ That one book you reach for when youâre tired, sad, overwhelmed, or just need something familiar. The story that feels like a warm hug, even if youâve read it a hundred times. Tell us your go-to comfort reread and why it always hits the spot đ¤

I'm just curious on everyone's favorite book and least favorite book, I love hearing different perspectives/opinions on such things : )

I usually read in physical format, but I've recently started to read more digital. Mostly because I'm in a sort of exchange program abroad and don't have access to my books at home, and since I wanted to get back to my reading habits, reading PDFs on my phone turned out to be comfortable for me - now I want an actual E reader!
The thing is, I obviously found my PDFs online and didn't pay for them and while browsing for e reader options I saw many comments of people saying how easy it is to transfer your PDFs into the reader, and sharing tips and telegram groups to get free epubs.
While I absolutely don't shame anyone who reads free downloaded books (I've done it myself many times) and would never judge them, I kept over analyzing myself. Why do I feel guilty for not paying? Why do I do it anyways? Why am I taking notes on the telegram groups for when I buy the e reader?
Has anyone felt in a similar way? đŠ What are your opinions on this?

I thoroughly enjoyed my time off for the holidays; sitting on my butt and reading. Now Iâve gotta go back to the grind and I already miss my couch and books!!
Iâm going to have to carve out time in the evenings for me to decompress and read. Do you guys have any little cozy routines to help you wind down and read after work/school?

How do you guys stay motivated to read throughout the year? I love reading but most days I just don't have the energy or motivation to pick up a book and I'd love to hear ways you guys do it.

Good morning, everyone! I started the day finishing my first book of 2026, and I am hopeful that through connecting on Pagebound. LibraryThing, and StoryGraph that I might make 2026 my best reading year ever -- which would be saying something.
I've felt a little out of the reading loop for a while. I'm a high school English teacher, so I inevitably find myself rereading titles I've already read. This can be quite the obstacle to reading for enjoyment, but that changes this year!
Looking forward to meeting good people here. Feel free to drop a hello. Would love to connect and get some good recs on titles to read in the future.
Happy Reading, David

The face I made when I realized I had added 237 books to my Interested list... I literally downloaded this app on December 31, 2025 y'all it's only January 6, 2026 đđ
why are there so many awesome incredible books out there when I don't have the time to read all of them!!
And more to the point of fostering discussion, how do you decide when a book moves from Interested to TBR? And how do you make time for reading in your life?
