I'm a mood reader & genre-flexible. Non-fic is still the final boss, but I'm trying to level up by sprinkling more into my reading rotation.

Thoughts from 99% (audiobook): The Gigantic Dream

"An inhumane system demands inhumans and so it produces them in stories, editorials, newscasts, movies, and television."

"Editors and writers like to think that they are not part of such systems that they are independent, objective and arrive at their conclusions solely by dent of their reporting and research. But the Palestine I saw bore so little likeness to the stories I read and so much resemblance to the systems I know that I am left believing at least here this objectivity is self-delusional."

^ this. I feel like I'm skeptical of everything I read and see now in the media. I want to trust but always verify.
