I want to publicly apologise to Mrs Suzanne Collins for liking all those Snow edits on TikTok. The trauma I went through with this book was punishment enough. And to Mr Haymitch Abernathy : I'm sorry I ever thought you were kinda boring as a character. I love you like all-fire. As a Hunger Games kid through and through I cannot give this book lower than a 5 stars not just because of the nostalgia but also because Collins has once again come up with a story that grips you by the throat, characters that steal your heart and most importantly a book that forces you to wake up to the realities of the world.

💚 This series is so very dear to my heart. I don’t know if it’s considered to be a cozy fantasy but it truly is the coziest fantasy book series I’ve read. ☕️ Every time I open the pages I just want to snuggle in a corner near a window with a hot cup of tea and blankets and listen to the rain fall while reading. It is an enchanting book series that every fantasy lover should read (especially fans of Howl’s Moving Castle because the main characters remind me of Howl and Sophie 🥹). ✨ This third book was a bit different from the others because it takes us to the heart of faerie where most of the plot takes place. It was a departure from the other two in that sense but it still retains everything I loved about the series : an engaging plot, perfectly paced, a vivid worldbuilding that makes you want to be part of the Faerie Court, and as always endearing characters that will steal your heart. ♥️ Emily and Wendell (who are the main reason I’m obsessed with this series) are back on a new adventure filled with action, magic and swoon-worthy moments. I loved to watch their relationship grow and develop over the three books and the ending of this one was so nostalgic and also makes me think that maybe, just maybe, we haven’t seen the last of these two (fingers crossed 🤞). 🙂‍↕️ The one thing though that made me rate this 4 instead of 5 stars is the fact that a few things happened in the plot that made it feel too convenient. Too easy. I wish our characters had struggled a little more, it would’ve made for a more interesting story.
