“I know it is better to face head-on whatever haunts you, but that is often hard to do.”
I almost DNF’ed this one, the first half was really slow moving and I wasn’t sure where it was going but once I got to about the 50% mark (when sh*t hits the fan!) I legit could not put it down!! This is a haunted house story as well as a story of a haunted mind. Ursula has a traumatic history, and is trying to find her place in the world. But when she moves into a haunted house and her haunted past surfaces, her and everyone around her struggle to find the truth. Told in two different timelines. Hunger & Thirst was so well done, I love horror set in the art world as well as stories involving misunderstood characters. Definitely give this one a chance and don’t let the slow start deter you! insert the man mining and turning around before hitting diamonds meme
Thank you NetGalley and Zando | Tin House for this ARC!!
