I love this series so muchh! This book made me ache from all of my heart! R.F. Kuang's prose and character work are immaculate here, in my opinion (they are all just so real and so flawed and so in pain 😭). I swear I have never been more excited or more terrified of the conclusion of a series. (I will not survive Burning God, I am afraid 🥲) That is why I will read something else for the moment for my brain and my soul can't take any more heartbreak. I just want to give Rin a hug right now and to take her in a peaceful and quiet place 'cause my girl has been through it! Also long live the Cike, wherever they may be! 😭

I loved this book so muchh!!! It was inasneee. Before I started it I thought that it will be gard to get into it because of the format, but I was so damn wrong! From the first pages I was HOOKED!!! I laughed, I cried and everything in between. The characters were so broken and sometimes so toxic, yet it was so satisfying and beautiful to see them looking back at those times and knowing that everything will turn out alright! I believe that I've unlocked a new book genre, truly! 🤭 Now I simply HAVE TO watch the TV show! Daisy Jones and The Six, you have my heart and will live rent free in my head for a while... 🎸🎤🎶🎹🤘

Okay so I finally "womand" up and decided to write a review. Disclaimer: I am not going to be very coherent, I've been on a road trip for the past 14 hours! 🥲 I am going back to the person who said that this is like a too long TV series that inevitably has filler episodes, because in my opinion it summs things up the best. For that reason, it wasn't always easy for me to find the motivation to read from it. The length is also intimidating and made things harder too! It isn't a journey I regret, though! I loved the characters, the setting and the prose! It was a well deserved break from all of the fast paced media we consume these days! I definetly recommend starting it when you have a lot of free time and also reading other books beside this one, so you don't end up in a slump. For sure a journey worth making at least once in your life!
