Can someone suggest me a book about cults or something similar? I gor intrestwd in the theme as of lately but I can't find solid choices. I'd prefer if it was fiction and with horror or thriller vibes and please don't say Bunny by Mona Awad.

Hi everyone! I've taken over this quest to help with responding to book recommendations, adding them in, and general up-keeping of the quest!
With that said, please comment any book suggestions for quest additions here in this post! I will note all of the suggestions given, however, this does not guarantee a suggested book will be chosen for the quest. There is already a large amount of books within this quest so moving forward, my aim is to prioritize diversity (both in authors and stories) and new releases!
Thank you for helping keep the forum less cluttered!
Delightful reading & Looking forward to it!🌹

I love a studious, grumpy protagonist who is so interested in her research that her genuine motivation to save someone is that she’ll gather more information in the process. It warms my heart that Wendell knows how antisocial she is and not only knows this, but accepts her for who she is. The best kind of love is the one that loves you for who you are, warts and all.
The world and magic are so interesting and slightly disturbing, but still make for a very cozy read. I appreciate how the fantasy is darker, but the characters’ morbid curiosities lighten the mood and story. Such a fun read, this is one of my favorite series.

“Hand you the right storybook, and you are capable of anything.”
I love this world and the characters! Everything comes together in the third book. Emily and Wendell’s banter is delicious, the fae world is so rich and lovely and terrifying, and the magic of it all makes no sense in the most perfect way! I wish I could live in a world written by Heather Fawcett.

“The Fox and The Devil” reads like someone who only speaks in streams of consciousness tries to tell you a story with very little context, it’s out of order, and you have no interest in any of the players. I wanted so badly to like this, as it’s a supernatural mystery and sapphic. While there is a Killing Eve-esque mutual sapphic obsession, I wanted more. I had hoped for Anneke’s frontal lobe and Diavola’s character to be more developed.
The narrative style left me feeling like I was constantly playing catch-up. I do enjoy time jumps occasionally, when they’re done well, but this story yanks you from one scene to the next, with no context or sensory clues to ground yourself.
The idea of this book is very intriguing, the follow-through left much to be desired.
Thank you NetGalley for the eARC!
