As I'm reading more and more I'm discovering a lot about my reading habits! For a while I was a one book at a time kinda person and then I started reading a couple at a time, usually a novel, a graphic novel, and an audiobook, but the more I read right now I'm realizing I think I am a one book at a time person? I also think it depends on what my novel is because sometimes if my book is just too good, I don't want to read anything else because I don't want anything else to distract me from my book...
How many books do you read at a time and does it fluctuate?

I just signed up to be a bottle foster for a local rescue org, which means I might be responsible for naming litters of kittens soon, a task which I do NOT take lightly lmao so what I want to know is, which book's cast of characters would you name a litter of kittens after?
I just finished Six of Crows so the first crew that came to mind for me was Kaz, Inej, Nina, Matthius, Jesper, and Wylan, all of which would make truly excellent kitten names imo š§ What about you?? (do not say HP, it's overdone and also ..... just no lol)

Autumn is my favorite time of year and Iām planning out all the books Iām reading! I wonāt get to all of these, but Iād really love to get to a few of them. I love anything gothic, but I also try to get to at least one classic.
Tell me what your autumn reads will be this year! (Any genre, spooky or not!) Hereās mine:
⢠Tenant of Wildfell Hall, Anne BrontĆ« ⢠Witchesā Guide to Magical Innkeeping, Sangu Mandanna ⢠something by T Kingfisher š ⢠Ghost Stories of Edith Wharton ⢠Phantom of the Opera (last read this in 1998 š) ⢠The Hacienda, Isabel CaƱas
Then thereās some new ones coming out: ⢠Rottenheart, Kat Dunn ⢠In Your Heart a Devil, Vanessa Santos

Hey yāall, Iām someone who recently just got back into audiobooks this past month. I enjoy them, but I tend to find myself bored in simply just listening to a story and not doing anything else. Lately Iāve been listening to audiobooks while cooking, driving to go somewhere, and doing laundry. I find myself struggling just sitting and doing nothing while listening to a book lol. I think when Iām not doing anything and just solely listening is when I start to stray away from audiobooks. Itās what got me to stop from listening to books for a while because of this sole problem.
What are some activities that you guys do while listening to audiobooks? Or are you guys just able to listen to a book while not doing anything else?

Iām not sure if this will help out everyone I think itās area dependent. But Iāve just discovered that I can look at an online library book catalog for my state and order any books (up to 5 at a time) to be delivered to my local library for pick up.
Itās amazing cause the libraries near me donāt have many books but statewide thereās lots of them.
Maybe other peoples areas have similar opportunities

Ok so fun question that has actually been on my mind for some time. Can you eat while reading or no? I definitely canāt, it constantly makes me pause my book to take a bite or something, and if itās food eaten with hands, then my food stained hands on the pages?! šµāš« just no. Itās terrible, I always eat before I read, unless itās snacks. I can do those, but not chips unless itās with chopsticks.
