This was such a cute and cozy book!
I really liked the characters and heavily related to Clara and her reluctance to do basically anything outside of her home. I also really appreciated that it was grumpy x sunshine but with a twist! Clara, the gardener was the grumpy one and the tall mysterious love interest was the sunshine one! I felt like that was super refreshing and not seen very often!
I loved the plot and thought that the world building was very good! I would have LOVED a map as the world seems really interesting and they go to so many cool places!
Honestly my only complaint is that I didn't fully understand exactly how Clara defeated the prince but that might be a me thing.
This was such a sweet story, if you like animal companions, cozy fantasy with a little adventure, sapphic romance, and found family, this is the book for you!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ALC. All opinions are my own.

Iâve recently started listening to the Lord of the Rings trilogy narrated by Andy Serkis and Iâm absolutely LOVING it. His character acting and narration is unmatched and it brings the story to a whole new level. Iâve heard a couple people say they couldnât get into LOTR and called it âboringâ when they tried to read it. So I wondered if maybe some books are just nicer to enjoy as a listen rather than a read? What do you guys think? And if so, what audiobooks would you recommend? Iâm officially in my audiobook era đ€đ§ đ

Personally, I read to escape the real world - I pretty much refuse to read anything too heavy or heartbreaking! I suffer with terrible anxiety and OCD, so reading silly or happy books helps me cope.
Do you guys do the same or do you like books with heavy subjects?

With it being National Library Week, I thought I would share some ways that we can all support our local libraries!
In Person Support: đżCheck out books (seems like an obvious one, but circulation helps!!) đż Attend events, workshops, story-time, classes đż Use non-book resources: museum passes, tools, games, etc. - these are a hidden gem not everyone knows to utilize! đż Donate gently used books if your branch accepts them đż Volunteer if opportunities are available
Digital Support: âš Borrow ebooks/audiobooks through apps like Libby and Hoopla âš Stream movies, shows, or music through your libraryâs digital services âš Follow your library on social media and engage with posts âš Leave positive reviews online âš Use online databases for research, genealogy, or learning âš Recommend books for purchase through your library system - this can also help boost your fav indie authors! âš Sign up for newsletters
What are some of your favorite ways to support your local libraries?
Does your library offer anything unique you havenât seen elsewhere?
I will be supporting my local library this week by continuing my Libby addiction, and also checking out physical books!

I absolutely loved this!!! I had honestly forgotten I had requested it and then I was looking through my Netgalley shelf and saw it and read it all in one sitting!
I loved the story so much! I thought the messaging was great! I really loved the characters and relationships! I thought that the characters were really good and interesting! I love that we got some generational trauma going on in this too, and breaking the cycle!
I also LOVED the character designs!! I thought they were super cool and unique! The art was so gorgeous and fun!
A gorgeous story about nature and the relationships between animals and people!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC! All opinions are my own.

Been wanting to read this series for like 5 years now after watching season 1 when it came out, now I'm doing my annual rewatch of the show and it's finally motivating me to read the books!

This was such a sweet book!
I really loved the story and premise! I thought that the characters were very well fleshed out, and felt very real! The relationships were great, I loved Serafina's rivalry with Ăthelburg and how that did not translate to George and Floriant! I do think it would have been cute if there was a romance storyline with George and Floriant, sort of a supposed-to-be-rivals to lovers, but I loved their friendship!
I really loved Minerva and Serafina's relationship too, the old married couple vibe came across very well and very strongly in a way I really loved!
I thought the side characters were really great too, and all of the friendships felt very realistic!
I absolutely adored the art! It was so cute and felt very different and unique!
I think this is a must read for anyone who loves knights!
