I wish I loved this as much as I loved the first one but I quickly realized that this books is pretty much just build up and filler for the third book. I really dislike where it left it. I feel like both Harper and Nolan should have caught on to the fact that someone knew and was taunting them. Also, I’m really sad about Arthur.

it’s the anniversary of my papa’s death and it’s a tradition to read harry potter again since he introduced me to the magic of reading when he read these to me as a child. its one of the few memories i still have of him and it’s so precious to me. i still have his first edition books, he died before the series ended and wasn’t able to get the deathly hallows but i remember my mom taking me to the harry potter release party the small bookstore was holding in the park and we got the copy to finish his collection. so, safe to say, this rating is highly influenced by nostalgia and personal ties to the series. <3
